Photographers John Rowe and Steve McCurry in the Omo Valley
World renowned photographer Steve McCurry joined John Rowe and the Omo Child team in order to help raise awareness on behalf of Omo Child and the practice of Mingi in tribal Ethiopia. John and Steve sit down next to the Omo River and discuss photography, the people of the Omo Valley and how photography can positively impact the world. Omo Child’s Mission is to stop Mingi, the ritualistic killing of infants and children, and to provide education and a safe, nurturing shelter for rescued children in the Omo River Valley of Southwest Ethiopia. These children will be future leaders in their tribes and communities. Our immediate goal is to raise money to care for our 37 children. Operating our shelter is costly and is dependant on supporters just like you.
